Publisher's Summary

Former movie star Jenna Hughes left Hollywood for an isolated farm in Oregon to get away from fame. But someone has followed her-an obsessed fan whose letters are personal and deeply disturbing. While Jenna’s already shaken up by what she’s seen on paper, she’d be terrified if she knew what Sheriff Shane Carter is investigating. It’s a shocking case that started with the discovery of a dead woman in the woods. Now two more women are missing, one of whom bears a striking resemblance to Jenna. As a winter storm bears down on the Pacific Northwest, a merciless killer’s grisly work has only just begun. Jenna is getting closer to meeting her biggest fan-one who wants nothing more than to see her dead.

this was a three star book to me,

I think that Deep Freeze was a good book, one that i did not want to put down as far as the suspense, yet the demented mind of the killer for a romance book was a little much, I would not have put this book in the romance section i would have put this in the mystery & Thriller section, not much romance in this book although i did enjoy this book i found myself fast forwarding my ipod through the killers demented sections, If you are looking for a romance suspense you might want to look else where for the romance,

I received a paper back copy from my cousin on Christmas and started listening to the audiobook towards the end of January I couldn't put the book down or stop listening.

Don't waste your time

This finally started to hold my attention after about the 7th hour, but at that point I think it was because I wanted to see if I guessed right at what was coming next. The storyline was completely preditcable and the charcters were flat and uninteresting. Save your credits & time. Don't bother with this one

overall good book

had a great story line, and overall I thought it was a good book. however, in my opinion the narrator could have done a better job.

Base story pretty good - Too lovie-dovie for me

Nothing wrong with a good love story but subtle suits me best. The basic story would have been good for me but just a little too much kissie, kissie. I'm all for people who enjoy that, just not my thing - real life works better.

Same time, it did ID the book as "romance" which surprised me since all the other Lisa Jackson I've read has been more mystery, creepy, crime and that's what I thought I had. That aside, if you like romance/mystery books you'll probably like this but I'd label it 'Romance Light".

The bodyguard meets Silence of the lambs

The plot and the characters were interesting, given a good background and overall this was a well woven story. It reminded me of a "The bodyguard and Silence of the lambs" combination... in a good way. The narrator was good, i felt a few chills in her reading of the "creepy" notes. One thing i didn't much care for was the repeated use of a few words and phrases especially "all get out" lol. It was a minor thing to ignore because the story truly was "creepy".
