About this listen

DI Kelly Porter is back. But will her latest case push her beyond her limits?

On a peaceful summer morning in the Lake District, a dog walker discovers a woman’s body outside the local church. She has been brutally murdered, mutilated, and left with nothing but a roll of banknotes.

Kelly takes charge of the investigation team, determined to catch the killer. But as the death toll rises, it becomes clear this could only be the work of a dangerous mastermind unlike anything she has encountered before.

Can she put the pieces of the puzzle together before terror strikes even closer to home?

Don’t miss this electrifying crime thriller, perfect for fans of Ann Cleeves and Patricia Gibney.

This story was great. Well written and pacey!! I had no idea “who dunit” until near to the end when the reader was meant to find out!!

As I read this genre a lot I’m used to guessing who’s guilty.

Treat yourself and enjoy the Lake District in the UK too!!

A new author for me but LOVED IT!!

I loved this book. I started listening to Rachel Lynch via Audible recommendation and I haven't been disappointed. believable characters and great storey line. I had everyone pegged as the murderer at one stage, except the murderer...lol

hard to put down!

I really enjoyed this book. At first found it difficult to get into but then it was hard to stop listening. The narrator was a bit soft and had to turn up very loud to hear properly.
On the whole a positive listen

Gripping til the end

GREAT READ

The occasional grammatical error and incorrect use of words (eg benefactor when the author meant beneficiary) was a bit annoying! Apart from that, excellent story.

Really enjoyed it

Good story, would be a better book with fewer adjectives and a grammar check. Angela Carter can get away with lots of adjectives, most writers cannot. Very well read.

If you catch an adjective, kill it.
