Story
The Wizard's Council of Tarador was supposed to tell young Koren Bladewell that he is a wizard. They were supposed to tell everyone that he is not a jinx, that all the bad things that happen around him are because he can't control the power inside him, power he doesn't know about. The people of his village, even his parents, are afraid of him, afraid he is cursed. That he is a dangerous, evil jinx.

Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Story
When Van Tudor returns to his childhood home, he inherits more than the family farm. His grandfather used to tell him fantastic stories of spacemen and monsters, princesses and galactic knights. Little did Van realize, the old man's tales were more than fiction; they were real. Hidden beneath the old barn, Van’s legacy is waiting: a starship, not of this world. With his combat AI, an android bird named Perry, Van takes his first steps into the wider galaxy. He soon finds that space is far busier and more dangerous than he could have ever conceived.

Another awesome book by Craig Alanson. Had me on the edge the whole time and I never wanted to stop listening. Narration is awesome too with each character being distinctly different.

outstanding performance
anyone who thinks performing these stories is simply a case of reading them out needs to listen to Gerald Reynolds, as he's an absolute master of voices, and characters. the story itself is great, Craig has done a superb job, but man, this narrator simply brings it to life. great job

I really liked it but I'd love more progression of the main character. It felt a little hastened. It was not bad though. I just didn't want the series to end already, haha.

So enjoyable!
Another excellent series from Craig Alanson, and the performance kept me right in the story.I could hardly put it away when I had other things to do. The flicker of flame in the final sentences of Deceptions totally got me excited that there may be further instalments. Thanks!
