About this listen

Under dirty black skies, the town of Dead Crow is deluged by days of rain, flooding the streets and cutting it off from the outside world. Chief Andy Curran already has his hands full, getting residents to safety and battling a greedy mayor. But now people are going missing in the endless rain.

Curran soon discovers that there are things living in the overspilling river that threatens to drown Dead Crow. Their eerie clicking sounds drift across the frightened town as they emerge from its toxic waters. The rain isn't stopping. The clicking is getting louder. And the screams are only just beginning.

I’m not normally a fan of horror stories but I downloaded my first David Haynes audio book because I had become a Jeff Harding narration fan after the Reacher series and I searched for other Jeff Harding narration. First I found Survive, then the Bookshop from Hell and now Dread Crow. I believe the Jeff Harding narration brings the characters to life and makes you feel for the characters. The more David Haynes / Jeff Harding books I listen too. The more I want.

What a great concept! Finished the book in one sitting and of course brilliantly narrated by Jeff Harding. Thoroughly recommended!

Boy did I enjoy this book. The characters, the plot and especially the ending. Also have to give a shout out to the narrator. I wish he narrated every audio book he’s voice is addictive. Thanks for another great story!

This book was really different, with shades of southern gothic in the horror and a really plausible “villain”. All kinds of room for a sequel, hint hint Mr Haynes!
