normally I like this narrator but he's a bit annoying at the start like the other comment said. gets better though, it's just the young child voice thats not very good.

fun book overall, it feels like he gets way to overpowered early, but that slows down in the second book

I know the MC is a 8 year child but his childish thoughts, logic and internal monologues can be quite tedious at times.

I am hoping in the next book the MC will have grown up in age, temperament, depth of voice.

The main characters voice is also a bit strained and whiny. Im guessing the voice actor is intentionally trying to sound like a kid. But his voice is a little annoying.

If you are a fan of the Path of Ascension series I highly recommend this book series. it feels very familiar to other cultivating books but has its own stand out points that make it refreshing in the genre.
great performance by the voice actor as well all voices were distinct and enjoyable.
looking forward to hearing the rest of the series.

So this may be a lil pre-emptive but I'm like 3 and a half hours into this book and holy hell I'm struggling with the protagonists whiney voice. The story seems okay, the universe seems okay.... but listening to the MC's stupid whiney internal monologue is a SLOG to get through.
