Daughters of Ash is the start of an adult series where Mulan meets The Handmaid's Tale. It is a dark, dystopian fantasy romance that is very slow burn and more plot-centric. In the first installment, we follow Cassia as she infiltrates the Enforcers after hiding the last twenty-six years of her life.
