Publisher's Summary

Still struggling from the effects of dating a narcissist?

Many people do and sadly there is very little information available to be found online or in the written research, or with counselors and therapists that can help. Narcissistic victim syndrome is not officially recognized, nor is it widely even known.

Even when it is accepted, recognized and known not many people seem to know what to do about it to heal it… The fact is being in a relationship with a narcissist over a long period of time has long lasting traumatic effects that can be extremely catastrophic to the person suffering them.

Do the following symptoms sound familiar?

  • Ruined self confidence
  • Doubting yourself and your sanity
  • Mood swings
  • Sleeplessness
  • Extreme weight loss or weight gain
  • Uncharacteristic jealousy/ insecurity
  • Feeling like you don’t know the difference between right and wrong
  • Extreme paranoia (being turned into an obsessive detective)
  • Endless, repetitive obsessive thinking about your ex
  • Constantly trying to find explanations for what has happened
  • Feelings of helplessness and despair
  • A desire to self isolate
  • Feeling desperately misunderstood
  • Overwhelming feelings of loss and grief
  • Extreme bouts of rage
  • An inability to be comfortable with yourself
  • Strange dreams
  • Sudden inexplicable anxiety followed by rapid dips into depression

The list goes on....

You are dating a narcissist, and if you haven’t figured it out already, they will never, ever change.

You can stay in the relationship and be unhappy, or you can choose to never date a narcissist again. It is not easy, I know. Because I have been there. I was you.

They are smart enough to know what you are looking for at the level of your core values and mold themselves to appear to represent that whilst provoking as much sympathy in you for them as they can.

But beneath the mask of a shy, vulnerable and “good person” something far more sinister lurks.

  • A social chameleon who would wear a completely different identity depending on who they were talking to
  • A sneaky, underhanded way of operating in the world that only those closest to them ever get a glimpse of
  • A person whose actions rarely match their words

“They seemed so good-hearted and vulnerable, I just wanted to help…”
“Maybe my ex is right, maybe it really is me….”
Am I just being paranoid?
“Nobody understands!”

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had clients tearfully admit this to me in state of absolute despair.

What you need now:

  • Someone who has been through the same experiences you have and understands them from the inside
  • Someone who has the knowledge, training, education and experience working on himself and others to lead you through the emotional sh*tstorm that breaking with a narcissist can create

I can’t promise you that listening to this book is going to be a “total cure”, but I can promise that if you apply yourself diligently, take notes, listen and re-listen to the chapters, follow all instructions to the letter, with a tenacious resolve to get better, you will feel an instant decrease in anxiety within the first 24 hours and should see huge improvements within the first three days.

This is not hype, this is what my audience commonly reports.

A good start

It's a decent look into a very dark personality disorder. Not to heavy to understand for anyone new to narcissistic abuse. I recommend listening for someone trying to make sense of the confusion and overall trauma for having dealt with a narcissist.

honest and hard to hear but worth every minute

I learned I had gone from a covert narcissist to an overt. Very hard to hear but better than me wasting another 18 years in another abusive relationship

Forwarned is forarmed.

Excellent, clear and true to life explanation of what you can expect dealing with narcissists. I felt like the author wrote about situations I encountered earlier in my life. Too bad the book wasn’t available 30 years ago to save me from crummy experiences!! Read it!

Informative accurate liked

Describes the relationship with a narcissist very well.
Uses a fully narcissist example, but the severity of the disorder vary greatly and often overlap with the other disorders in cluster B. Along with any other issue/s one may have.

A good resource for dealing with a narcissist

This book has a lot of good, solid information, insights, and advice. But it covers a lot of ground and it's organized somewhat randomly, so it takes a good bit of effort to find help with specific issues you may encounter. My advice is to read it all the way through to get a sense of the overall message, and to highlight or put sticky notes on pages that resonate with what you're experiencing. Then you'll basically have your own index of the parts that you really need to pay attention to.

I highly recommend this book.

This book has been the turning point in helping me to move forward after the devastating abuse our family has suffered. It brought me peace I couldn't find anywhere else. I only wish I had read it before our 4 years of hell. This book will help you recognize personality types and make wise choices. It's a must read.

Very enlightening

This book does a fine job of relating the Bible to the narcissism personality disorder. I was raised in a Christian home and spent a lot of time going to church and involved in prayer meetings with my family. While learning of evil people in the scriptures and hearing about things on the news, one cannot imagine that these fears can be so close to home. It's always "those folks", "in the other countries", "areas of war", "countries with terrorists", and so on. Sometimes that terror is right next door. Just because someone can maintain a smile and say the right things, is no indication that they are nice or have motives with integrity.

A Must Read for Everyone

This book is awesome! I suggest that everyone reads this to avoid being targeted and hurt by Narcissists. It provides practical information, stories, and advice. Research says that 1in 6 people are Narcissists--overt, covert, or malignant. Chances are you have or will encounter one at some point. Please read this book sooner than later. You will be happy that you did.

So Accurate

It’s like the author lived my marriage with me. I’d recommend this book to anyone, even those who haven’t been in a narcissistic relationship so they can learn to recognize the signs and get out before they’re in too deep.

Filled with Facts and useful information

Love the texture of the book. What's inside the book felt like I was reading my life story, wow really hit home. It also opened my eyes to some situations that had happened and I was able to see oh , wow I didn't even see that until it showed you how something you can overlook so easy can be put into place for you to control you later. This book is my favorite out of everything I've read. It's so funny and a easy read with great information delivered so everyone can understand it. I read it to my Best friend and she's buying a copy for her daughter.. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

My compliments to the author!

A real page turner! So accurate it’s almost scary. The text flows almost effortlessly which makes it a very easy & enjoyable read. I laughed at times as well. I highly recommend this book for all singles in the dating scene as well as those involved with or recently discarded by a narcissist. I can only wish I read it sooner, but my life is all the better for it now. I would also be interested in reading more books from this author. Great price, great content. Recommend 100%. Thank you.

The best way to understand this subject.

This give a wonderful insight into what explains narcissism as well as an easy to learn coping thru the lord. Pray for our enemies and ourselves for the lord to assist us in our knowledge and wisdom to know what we need to do for our lives. I would recommend this to friends going thru similar trials.

very helpful

I love the biblical approach to dealing with a narcissist. The book is packed with scripture and gives a lot of insight on how to deal and pray for the narcissist in your life. I did find the book encouraging. I wish I would have bought this in a book format instead of a kindle addition so I could make notes.

Beautifully Stated!

If you are dealing with a truly narcissistic (evil) person, this book is for you. The same Jesus who said "Love your enemies" also tells us to defend the oppressed, stand up for truth and justice, walk away from divisive contentious people, and seek peace and pursue it. If you have ever had the misfortune of encountering the type of person (not just a hurting, messed-up, in-need-of-love person, but a truly evil person), this book can help you find your voice.
