Story
Lucifer has created his own version of the love boat, which means no one is safe. Not even a witch. My crazy witch of a grandma placed a spell on my locket. A love spell. I don’t think so. Which means I’ll have to find my cursed necklace and nullify the magic. But first, I apparently have to go on a cruise with Grandma. Busy avoiding potential suitors, I find myself hoping the locket will end up in the one place it doesn’t belong: In the grasp of the lion who makes me purr.

Story
A catastrophe has befallen Hell. The great and mighty Lucifer has fallen prey to the most wicked of spells. He's become...nice. Just using that word makes Gaia want to gag. And will they do it in time to celebrate the wedding from Hell?

Story
Good thing this Hellcat has nine lives because he's going to need them if he's going to survive Lucifer's latest scheme and land on his four furry feet. Okay, so Felipe ate a few of the Styx sea creatures. In his defense, they were awfully tasty. Depleting the monster reservoir didn't mean Lucifer had to go all lord of hell on him and order him to go on a stupid mission. And to Siren Isle, of all places! Everyone knows males should stay far, far away from that dangerous place.

Recently jobless and homeless, now I’ve been kidnapped by aliens. I thought my day couldn’t get any worse, until the disgusting Orkun warlords who abducted me tell me I’m meant to be a “bride” for their commander. No! No freaking way. But before I can figure out a way off this spaceship, I find myself caught in the middle of an uprising by their other captives: a breathtakingly masculine gladiator race called Kalixians.

The aliens who abducted me made a mistake. The Grivath have sold us on Gule - a planet known for dealing in human flesh. The women who are being held captive with me are in high demand and they all look like models. Me? I’m 5'2 shy, curvy, and a kindergarten teacher. Maybe they really meant to take my pageant queen sister? Our ship has crashed and half of the women are missing. Insert the tall, sexy warrior aliens, who saved us. Things are looking up, except that one of them is eyeing me like a snack, and not in a cannibalistic way - if you catch my drift.

I'm bound to a demon. For my entire life, I avoided magic at all costs. Now, I'm responsible for a demon who wields magic more powerful than the toughest mage or sorcerer. Demons are evil. That's what my textbooks say. That's what I see. He's ruthless, he's temperamental, he's cold. But he protects me without fail. I wonder if he's hiding a heart behind his hostility. My demon is a monster.

Ari Katz is intelligent and driven and will make an excellent demon hunter once initiated into the Brotherhood of David. However, this book is about his twin, Nava: a smart-ass, self-cultivated hot mess who is thrilled her brother is stuck with all the chosen one crap. When Nava half-drunkenly interrupts Ari's induction ceremony, she expects to be chastised. What she doesn't expect is to take her brother's place among the until-now all-male demon hunters. Even worse? Her infuriating leader is former rock star Rohan Mitra.

Publisher's Summary
Instead of collecting her soul, he captured her heart.
Marigold has a date with Death, but when she foils his plan to take her soul back to hell, she invites him to dinner instead.
Mictain, a former Aztec god who collects souls for Satan, is baffled at his interest in the plump witch who can see him. Intrigued and in lust, he can't help pursuing her.
But things are never simple when gods are involved.
Lucifer, lord of hell, tries to warn him away, and even Marigold's long-lost father decides to butt in. Yet despite the opposition, things heat up between them, and Marigold learns that when Death comes calling, it's best to get naked and invite him into bed - and her heart.

The narrator does a great job with the voices.
The narrator does a great job with the voices. I will be listening to these many times. I loved reading these books but I adore having them in audible. It is so much fun listening to the craziness of this series. BOOK REVIEW This review now covers both versions. I own the short version and read the expanded book through my local library. A short fun read about a sassy witch, Marigold, who cheats death, also known as Mictain, an Aztec god. Loved the beginning when Marigold first sees Mictain. A laugh out loud read once again with battles between gods and a lost father who gets his due. Lots of Lucifer popping in at inopportune moments, silliness and great fun. I loved the little short story but this new one really was a lot of fun. Lucifer is up to his matchmaking tricks again. Love Marigold and Mictain, thought they made a great couple and the story was a pleasant coffee time escape read.

Entertaining
A good addition to the series. Short, easy listen as it’s a novella. Liked the characters although I was a little bit annoyed at some of the interactions. I thought he forgave her a little too easily when she, at first, denied there was anything between them. Happy ending though.

Quick Light Hearted Good Time!
I love the Welcome to Hell series by Eve Langlasis. The stories are quick, light, cute, and sexy. Filled with humor and lust, they are perfect for when I need a pick me up, or looking for a quick light read/listen.
Who knew going on a Date with Death could be so much fun! Not to mention sexy and funny. The banter between Marigold and Mictain was too cute! They had a sarcastic side but the chemistry between them was hot!
Mindy Kennedy's narration totally ROCKS! She does an amazing job delivery all the heat, banter and playful teasing. I've really enjoyed her performance.

Best listening time!
I love Eve’s writing style. The humor, the architecture of each character, the blending of romance, sex and plot constructing the theme of each book. I connect with each character as she creates a visual image in my mind. Great writing and great reading.

Death is so hot and funny
Mictain, a retired Actez god (oooohhh) who works for Lucifer as a soul reaper. Marigold is a witch and mic is waiting on her to brew a deadly concoction - but she spots Mic ( which she apparently shouldn't) . Mic is fascinated by Marigold and she is just as drawn to him.
The banter between Mic and Marigold had me in stitches and I just had to finish (but I also didnt want it to finish either). BUUUUTTT Lucifer doesn't want this match to happen.
And then Marigold's daddy steps in and well..... then the poopie hit the fan. I need to read more of this series.

Mostly short story sex
I like the setting and the fun quips but this story is 90% sex and the little bit of story was lacking the normal building of the world.
To many holes that need to be filled in (no pun intended) and the lead female was almost unlikeable and the male was a bit of a weak male for who he was supposed to be.

Who knew the devil is clever and funny!
I am pretty willing to accept a lot for humour but, even knowing this series, even feeling pulled to purchase this particular book (which is 2.5; also bought book 1, “A Demon and His Witch) and reread it often, I am still embarrassed. Not one I’ll be recommending to Mom.
Or anyone who goes to church.
Any church. Lol
Off to listen and laugh again.
Great narrator.

Aztec God and A Demi God
Love that she used an Aztec God as her H. I enjoy when authors pull in other less-used cultures.
The H was extremely sweet, and this was a head-over-heels-at-first-sight book. The h was also well developed, and they blended seamlessly together. Also, enjoyed the part where she calls him to her. How else do you get death to pay you a visit when you lack his phone number?
And then there’s Lucifer... he has to be one of the main reasons I love this book. He’s hard to describe, but I’ve fallen in love with his witty yet annoying and meddlesome character. Who thought the devil could be a matchmaker?

Loved it but Semantics...
Loved this continuation of Eve Langlais’ Lucifer series! However it was a little tooth grinding to hear our male leads name get butchered throughout the ENTIRE narration. “Miktain” or “mictain” or even “mctain” (mic-tayn) are pronunciations based on European lexicon. Not to mention that the author (Langlais) mentions the multisyllabic pronunciation during an inner thought by Marigold. So for all those wondering it SHOULD be pronounced Mik-Tah-Een. Let’s honor the Aztec origins and not whitewash it with mispronounced titles it’s not like she chose Quetzalcoatl which is a mouthful yet still ppl say that with ease nowadays. EFFORT COUNTS! Miss Kennedy did her best but I do wish she researched the role beforehand...Otherwise another wonderful work by Langlais!!
