Während seiner Gesellenwanderung nächtigt der Goldschmied Felix in einer Gaststube und schlüpft in die Kleider einer Gräfin, um diese zu schützen und sich an ihrer Stelle gegen Lösegeld entführen zu lassen. Da der Graf nicht zahlen will soll der Gräfin Gewalt zugefügt werden. Der Räuberhauptmann hat jedoch Mitleid mit dem jungen Felix und flieht gemeinsam mit ihm. Zufällig geraten sie zur Gräfin, die, wiederum durch einen Zufall, bemerkt dass Felix ihr Patensohn ist.
Kalif Storch:
Der Kalif Chasid verwandelt sich mittels eines Zauberpulvers in einen Storch. Doch als er lacht vergisst er das Zauberwort und bleibt verwandelt. Chasid wird in der Zwischenzeit entthront und sucht nun den bösen Zauberer Kaschnur. Die verzauberte Eule hilft ihm, wenn er verspricht sie zu heiraten. Dies tut er und gemeinsam finden sie den geheimen Treffpunkt. Dort hören sie das Zauberwort und verwandeln sich zurück. Chasid stürzt den falschen Kalifen, besteigt wieder seinen Thron und heiratet die schöne Prinzessin.
