Nach einem schweren Autounfall ist ein junger Mann gezwungen, auszuharren: in einem Dorf, das durch einen landesweiten Stromausfall und unaufhörlich fallenden Schnee immer mehr von der Welt abgeschnitten wird, und bei einem älteren, hier ebenfalls nur gestrandeten Mann. Der nimmt ihn nur auf, weil die Dorfgemeinschaft ihm im Gegenzug die Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln verspricht sowie einen Platz im einzigen Konvoi.
