A young woman's body is discovered on a deserted footpath.

Great thriller
Characters, story and plot were great. I would definitely listen to more of this series. Bring English and from the midlands I was quite distracted by the Australian’s English dialects and speech speeds,

Stick to kindle for this one.
The narration was a big problem here although to be fair I did persevere. It was brave of the narrator to attempt British regional accents but probably not wise. Not one of the characters had an accent I could identify with an actual place or person. It made me stop paying attention to the story and start wondering about the audition process! But regardless I wasn’t very convinced by the writing either.

Narrator let the story down
Good story but let down by the narrator. Strange pauses, uneven speed and sometimes the characterisations/accents changed. This particularly disrupted the story as I had to check who was speaking.

Good story but….
An engaging story that kept you guessing, but the narration wasn’t good at all. Even though the story was very good, and I’m sure the series would be worth listening to I wont be buying any more with this narrator.

Enjoyable storyline.
This is the first time I’ve ‘read’ (listened to) this author and tbh I think I would have enjoyed it more as a book. The narration was unconvincing and tough to listen to at times. It was a good storyline though.

Detective British Style
Appears to be the start of another British Police detective series, which has a great intertwined storyline. In my humble opinion the performance by the Narrator is not quite right! Looking forward to further books in the series!
