Annoying old biddy
I usually like the BBC radio dramas, but this one was just annoying. The "mother/daughter " crime fighting team just didn't do it for me, the mother was meant to be Miss Marple but was more like Mrs Brown. I couldn't finish this. I was too annoyed by the characters, the situations and the dialogue. To be honest I'm not sure who this would appeal to.

Enjoyable
Not really sure what some of the reviewers were on about with their negative reviews. The actors did a fine job. One negative nelly said one of their voices was grating--not so. It's not Vera, whom I also enjoy, but I believe that's the point. Yet somehow I do believe Vera & Gwen would definitely get along. In their own ways. Not every detective story has to be gritty and this one is not. It does lean more towards what people now call "cozy mysteries". So, perhaps DI Gwen Danbury isn't their cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hmmmm...tea. Must dash!
