When it comes to understanding the connection between our mental and physical health, we should be looking at the exceptions, not the rules.

Dr Jeff Rediger, a world-leading Harvard psychiatrist, has spent the last fifteen years studying thousands of individuals from around the world, examining the stories behind extraordinary cases of recovery from terminal illness.

Observing the common denominators of people who have beaten the odds, Dr Rediger reveals the immense power of our immune system and unlocks the secrets of the mind-body connection. In Cured, he explains the vital role that nutrition plays in boosting our immunity and fighting off disease, and he also outlines how stress, trauma and identity affect our physical health.

In analysing the remarkable science of recovery, Dr Rediger reveals the power of our mind to heal our body and shows us the keys to good health.

Profound

What an amazing book. Hope is such a powerful thing and many are deprived of it when facing an incurable illness for fear of rocking the apple cart.

Thank you Dr Rediger for having the courage to spread this important message. What an amazingly intelligent and intuitive doctor and human you are. This is by far the best book I’ve read on health and healing in a long time.

Worth the time to slow done and digest

An extraordinary and insightful
Story of an exhaustive journey into the nature of spontaneous remission. Don’t look for silver bullets - it’s a detailed narrative and one size definitely doesn’t fit all, but no matter what journey on, there’s a path for all to follow in here. Read by the author too which is a massive plus.

Cured or undercooked?

The premise of the book is really interesting. Why do people recover from incurable illness… is there a connection… what is the connection? The execution could have been so much better though. It turned out to be a few random tales loosely connected by hope and lifestyle change (and not much detail around the latter). Hopefully with more research and detail there will be a better part 2.
