About this listen

Amelia Peabody inherited two things from her father: a considerable fortune and an unbendable will. The first allowed her to indulge in her life's passion. Without the second, the mummy's curse would have made corpses of them all.©2004 Elizabeth Peters (P)2004 Recorded Books Historical Mystery Fiction Mummy Ancient Egypt Suspense

....I must love it. Would I love it so much if strong women explorers around the turn of the century, egypt, ancient Egypt, archaeology weren't my thing? Chuck in the adorable gruff exterior with the soft interior characters like Emerson in and what's not to love. Peabody is my all time favourite fictional heroine. Barbara rosenblatts narration is exceptional

3rd time around for the whole series

The story line is excellent. I was sorry when this story ended. I would loved to hear more of their explorations around Cairo.

Great story

Yes, Barbara Rosenblat is Amelia Peabody...and Emily Polifax. She is a wonderful voice actor and I am very glad she connected with Elizabeth Peters through her narration. Both are amazingly talented.

It’s wonderful, the performance amazing, the characters wonderful it’s the charm and wit of PG Wodehouse meets Indiana Jones armed with a parasol instead of the firearm.

Cozy mystery
