Not What I Expected

I was looking for thriller/horror, so my disappointment in this collection may be my own fault, but the first few stories weren’t engaging enough to even get me all the way through the book. They’re more “suspense” I guess than anything else. But I found them slow, too. And oddly, there was quite a lengthy introduction/explanation to each story before it started. I found myself muttering, “Come on. Get on with the story already.” Put bluntly, the stories are boring. I’m going back to Stephen King and Ray Bradbury for now …
