So, when the bones of a woman with a hole in her skull are discovered behind a derelict cottage, she immediately assumes the worst. Rallying her team, Lauren is flooded with a strange sense of relief when the bones turn out to be almost twenty years old, not a recent victim. Another epic tale for Lottie Parker
I loved book 1 and book 2 didn't disappoint. Patricia Gibney is a fantastic author and this story was gripping from start to finish, I couldn't put it down.
Once again, Lottie finds her family entwined in her latest murder investigation and the murders keep happening. She has a gut feeling about the suspects, but can pin them to anything, just yet. Her daughter holds the key, but Lottie doesn't realise it, until it is almost too late.

Almost perfect but
I was disappointed Interpol we’re not contacted immediately in a certain scene. I can’t imagine the protagonist going for lunch and a drink after such a sickening discovery. Otherwise the twists and turns were entertaining and her humanity endearing.

Remember Kosovo?
Have been on an Irish detective series binge. The start of this book seems standard, but isn't. By the end I'm at my kitchen table in tears. 2nd book from author Patricia Gibney and I'm hooked. Rushing this review so I can download the next book!
The narrator Michele Moran does quite well going between Irish to various European accents. But the intensity of the emotion in her storytelling is what really grips.
I hope they are on a reasonable cut! Like I said, downloading the next one after the following full stop.
