Story
A weekly newspaper dedicated to the weird and the wonderful (but mostly the weird), The Stranger Times is the go-to publication for the unexplained and inexplicable. At least that's their pitch. The reality is rather less auspicious. Their editor is a drunken, foul-tempered and foul-mouthed husk of a man who thinks little of the publication he edits. His staff are a ragtag group of misfits. And as for the assistant editor...well, that job is a revolving door - and it has just revolved to reveal Hannah Willis, who's got problems of her own.

too many characters
I usually like Denise Mina's novels however this one seems to lose it's way. The story is overcomplicated by too many subplot characters, many of which are stereotypical. The narration was excellent and hats off to Cathleen McCarron for such fine work. Denise is a wonderful writer - but we can't get it write 100% of the time.

Got a bit lost
Not a bad story but becoming repetitive on the police and corrupt high flyers theme as a story line and Morrows being the only one with a moral and ethical stand. I do like the narrator
