Great Performance But Only OK Story
This was an unusual story. I love Agatha Christie but this is probably the weakest story I have read of hers. It was quite disjointed and jumped around. It was a Poirot story but for the first hour plus he wasn't even in it, I thought I had got it wrong and chosen the wrong book. The performance, however, was first class, really good, and that helped a lot.

An unusual Agatha, with interesting characters
The detective took so long to come in, I began to wonder if there would be one, but sure enough Poirot turns up. I half expected Miss Marple, after much mention of St Mary Mead. The plot is very clever as usual with Agatha, and kept me guessing. Not my favourite of her novels but pretty good.

Very enjoyable.
Great story without being ridiculously convoluted. Hugh Fraser does a superb job narrating and of character dialogue.

Awkward
Bit racist/antisemitic … which is uncomfortable and disappointing, but an undeniably satisfying plot and luxuriant setting.

Good story but didn’t love the narrator
The storey was really good. Not my favourite Agatha Cheshire book but still good. However it was hard to differentiate between the male and female voices that the narrator used. Some of the females did sound female but occasionally there was one that sounded male and it was quite confusing when trying to keep track of which character that was.
Besides that, I have no complaints.
