great spooky medieval story

If you could sum up The Midnight Man in three words, what would they be?

Chaucer. vampires. politics.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really enjoyed the exorcist character.

Any additional comments?

This book is actually part of a Paul Doherty series. Sort of a dark Canterbury tales. It does stand alone quite well, though.
