The dark side of imagination.
This book is very cleverly written. In the way that all successful fantasy novels can drag you through the dark, enchanted woods of your imagination yet still leave you questioning wether you witnessed old magic, or human madness, in the passing. Littlewood's focus upon 'dwellings' continues happily throughout Hidden People, and I look forward to visiting the next location when the time comes with great interest.
One thing, the Audiobook production is fair sprinkled with editing glitches that leave 're-takes' in place in the delivery, resulting in double-ups of text. McLaughlin's delivery is also a little too breathless / tremulous over the 11 hours. Perhaps a bit more production oversight is required?

Beautiful voice and performance.
Despite the wonderful performance, the story was a bit slow and repetitive. I loved the language and how it was spoken. It was fantastic writing, but the story developed soooooo slowly and nothing seemed to happen much. I couldn't wait till it ended.
