Publisher's Summary

As a child, Dr. Tess Brannick learned there was something big living in the Pacific Northwest.

Now she's going to prove it.

For centuries, legends of a giant hairy beast roaming the Pacific Northwest have made their way into the collective understanding. Despite the reports, conclusive proof of bigfoot has never been found. But Dr. Tess Brannick has a plan to change all that.

Tess has spent years studying to be up to the task of finding the elusive creature. And now, a year into her research in northern California, she knows she's on the precipice of a world-shattering discovery.

But the more she learns, the more confused she becomes. Nothing is as she expected.

And as a new threat, a threat she unintentionally introduced, appears on the horizon, Tess must come to a decision. Who should she be - the scientist or the human being?

Excellent!!!!

Loved this so much!!! I want more Bigfoot books.

When Tess Brannick has an encounter with a Bigfoot when she is younger, she dedicates her life to proving the existence of Hominids. She gets funding from a rich client, who has ulterior motives, but another encounter changes he life forever. Now it's a race to save these intelligent creatures from discovery.

This story was just so entertaining and engaging that it was really hard to put down. I loved how rich in detail and how much energy the author put into this, as it made for an imaginative and unforgettable story. Everything about this absolutely captivated me. I loved how we follow Tess through her thoughts on trying to find, and finding the Bigfoot. I loved how the Bigfoot were portrayed and the whole dynamics with the group. I loved all the characters, Tess was well written, intelligent and an awesome role model, her brother and his husband were brilliantly portrayed and I loved their relationship. I pretty much loved everything about this book and want more!!!!

Patricia Santomasso captured my attention right from the get go. She was easy to listen to and had a lot of different tones and voices. This is my first book by Patricia and I will definitely check out more by her.

Every liberals Bigfoot story.

She covers the pantheon of liberal causes in a single Bigfoot narrative. Evil rich white corporatist, doing battle against a determined heroic woman and her band of merry men. Including a Native American Adonis and a gay brother along side his navy seal husband. Our heroine champions the cause of conservation while fighting a Halliburton style private army bent on exploiting the majestic and wise Bigfoot hide out. All the villains are white males and all the heroes are some form of oppressed minority. In the end our hero must make the ultimate liberal sacrifice. Lie about the reality of the situation and sacrifice her reputation and honor to protect the Bigfoot. The ultimate liberal martyrdom.

Hominid

I’m a Bigfoot fan.
So listening to this story was actually pretty good.
Maybe not enough Bigfoot’s but it was still good.
It referenced a lot of the scientific side of it which was cool. Good read I would definitely recommend it.

A Great Feel Good Story

This was a great, feel good novel. The writing was smooth and the characters so likeable that you couldn't help but be caught up in their quest to save the ever mysterious Bigfoot. The narration was excellent and helped make this story one you just had to smile at after it was over.
The good guys are real good guys and, for a nice change, they in the end come out on top. Give this book a listen. I guarantee you'll cheer for the good guys from beginning to end and when it's over you will still be smiling. Thanks for such a great feel good novel. ENJOY,

Good Premise, spotty execution

An ok read, but could have been better... The plot was a little loose, and a bit too convenient in some respects of believability... It had a decent pace, but would have benefited from a little judicious editing... Slice off an hour or so and a much tighter story would've resulted... Excepting Tess, Missy, Dev, and the Bigfoots the characters were thin and melodramatic... Some of the dialogue and interactions had a definite juvenile/high school feel.. The look into possible hominid culture and society was well done and was the best part of the book... It's all about the Twinkies;). Some good mirroring of the hominids and ppl bringing up the question - who are the real primitives/savages... The narration was ok, but at times too much of a teenage girl tone taking away from the adult content and ideas... Not disappointing, but not terribly substantial or memorable either... I do wish I'd saved the credit and waited for a sale, but decent enough...
