Publisher's Summary

The murder was ugly. The killer was sure no one saw him. Someone did. In a horrifying vision, Chelsea Adams has relived the victim's last moments. But who will believe her? Certainly not the police, who must rely on hard evidence. Nor her husband, who barely tolerates Chelsea's newfound Christian faith. Besides, he's about to hire the man who Chelsea is certain is the killer to be a vice president in his company.

Torn between what she knows and the burden of proof, Chelsea must follow God's leading and trust him for protection. Meanwhile, the murderer is at liberty. And he's not about to take Chelsea's involvement lying down.

Good twisted plot

This was a good story based on a strong lead character who is a staunch Christian. This plays a pivotal role in many aspects of the story. For once it was a story that did not have such a happy ending. Now the narrator is another story. If I was not so interested in the outcome of the story I would have bailed. She can not do the multiple gender narration at all.

If you can get past the narration you will enjoy the listen.

A bit too much bible thumping for me

If there wasn't so much "please lord' and trying to turn me into being a Christian, I would've enjoyed this book. A bit pious and condescending for my taste.

Not my cup of tea.

What disappointed you about Eyes of Elisha?

Too much religion and not used right. The Christian falsely accuses a man and ruins his life, takes away the woman he loves, his job and freedom. The police spend the whole book focused on one man with a rush to judgement. The main character thinks sorry makes it okay.

What could Brandilyn Collins have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Listen to editors and critics advise.

Would you be willing to try another one of Laural Merlington’s performances?

Yes, she was good but I wouldn't seek her out.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I would say a little of each anger over lack of justice for the accused, sadness for a life devastated by rush to judgment, and disappointment of how many people went along with it. In the end to top it off a man on the edge because of everyone believing a woman claiming his guilt by a vision given from God cracks, he ends up in jail for a few years. He should have got probation.

A little too religious for me.

Any additional comments?

The story line was good and easy to follow although its been done before.
It had a few surprises.

A Lightweight, For Sure

Easy reading, but not terribly compelling. There is no suspense, and the characters are not very interesting, either. Oh well :-(
