Publisher's Summary

The Manhattan waterfront is one of New York City's most beautiful vistas, boasting both the Statue of Liberty and the George Washington Bridge, the world's busiest traffic bridge. Assistant DA Alexandra Cooper and Detective Mike Chapman, in the midst of their own growing relationship, take on a case that forces them apart as a killer's twisted plan draws ever closer to home.

Love the series but thought this was the weakest

Though advertised as Barbara Rosenblat, mostly it is someone different. Male. He sounds too old for Mike Chapman and the New York accent is forced, he also has a separate accent for the African American police, which feels slightly racist as it is too "street". I played the male part at 1.25 speed and it flowed better .

The story is especially weak, Chapman solves a riddle too easily. Storylines are dropped and forgotten. Chapman simply did not sound male. Males do not think the way she wrote him, too Mills and Boon.
