Story
Mickey Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense attorney who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, traveling between the far-flung courthouses of Los Angeles to defend clients of every kind. Bikers, con artists, drunk drivers, drug dealers - they're all on Mickey Haller's client list. For him, the law is rarely about guilt or innocence; it's about negotiation and manipulation. Story
The man most hated by the LAPD - a black lawyer who has made his name by bringing lawsuits alleging racism and brutality by police officers - has been found murdered on the eve of a high-profile trial. The list of suspects includes half the police force. And Harry Bosch is the detective chosen to head the investigation. The political dangers of the case are huge. If it's not investigated fairly, the public outcry could make the Rodney King riots look tame. But a full investigation will take Bosch into the ugliest corners of law enforcement.

Good story
narrator did not really fit the Harry Bosch style. Although I liked the story, a different narrator would have given it more punch.

Another good Bosch story with a twist at the end
Would you listen to City of Bones again? Why?
No. I now know who dun it.
What did you like best about this story?
Further developed the character of Harry Bosch. Michael Connelly likes to add the twist at the end to stop you guessing who the murderer is.
What does Peter Jay Fernandez bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I liked that Peter Jay Fernandez gave Harry Bosch a regular voice after the prior few books in the series portrayed Harry with a really annoying gravelly voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes but its too long to actually listen to in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
Random bursts of overly dramatic music seem to appear from nowhere every now and then, when there is not regular music in the recording. This is very annoying!

Pretty weak
A rather weak story line, attempted to be bolstered by a lame and unnecessary love interest (more so than previous books. Why do these types of stories feel compelled to always chuck in a lame love/romance/sex story; they’d be better served without it). Narration makes Bosch and his partner sound like little boys rather than hard boiled detectives. Then again, after Dick Hill, no narrator could ever live up to his greatness. I still hold hope for the rest of the series so will crack on and assume this was just an anomaly in an otherwise great series.

Wrong Narrator
Once again the narrator doesn't sound like Bosch or Edgar...so disappointing. Please bring back Dick Hill!!!
