Publisher's Summary

Do you want to have the courage to trust yourself, speak up for yourself, say “no”, and enforce boundaries in your relationships?

Do you find yourself in the position of being a caretaker or people pleaser, sacrificing your own needs and wants in favor of someone else’s happiness, and taking on other people’s responsibilities and consequences?

If you have said "Yes" to either of these questions, you may be exhibiting signs of codependency. We’ve all been there at some point. Even if your relationship starts off great, you can find yourself in a position where you get wrapped up in your partner’s life and push aside your own goals, dreams, and habits to the point where you're basing your happiness on someone else’s and constantly seeking validation from outside yourself.

Courage to Cure Codependency will give you a thorough understanding of codependency and the psychology behind it, the capacity to recognize signs of it in yourself and others, and the ways to fix it.

In this audiobook, you will learn:

  • Seven steps to heal from a codependent relationship
  • How to reclaim your self-esteem and self-confidence
  • The key things you must do in order to avoid getting back into another codependent relationship
  • How to free yourself from guilt of refusing to continue to be an enabling caretaker
  • How to salvage a codependent relationship and turn it around
  • Sneaky ways codependency shows up in relationships and the harmful codependent behaviors you may not realize you’re exhibiting
  • And much more

You deserve to have healthy relationships. It’s never too late to make a change, even if you have “always been this way”. Your journey to healing starts right now.

Helped me a lot

I always assumed that codependency had something to do with alcoholics, but in this book, although I hate to admit it, I realized I had some codependent behaviors in all of my relationships, including with my boyfriend, my friends sometimes, and definitely with one of my closest family members.

extremely helpful

I was pleasantly surprised by this audiobook. It was a bit clinical at the beginning, but I continued to listen, and it turned out to have practical information that I can put to use in my current relationships. Ask yourself these 3 questions...definitely will put this bit of advice to use!

Inspirational and practical

This was very eye opening for me and has helped me get myself on a path to healing. I hadn’t realized my part in so much turmoil with toxic relationships. Thank you for helping set me on this path. I feel like my eyes are finally opened and I am ready for a new way of creating boundaries and living to my potential and not trying to fix or save anyone anymore

Very well written and helpful

This book was recommended by a therapist I saw on my second visit. It helped me understand myself and even though parts made me uncomfortable, I had to work through those emotions to see the benefits. Now I have a better self awareness and can recognize and avoid any codependent behaviors in my relayionships. I also bought the written book and it is great to reference!

Definitely recommend!!

Can't say enough good things about the narrator. The first chapter seemed like it was just listing what was to come which seemed unnecessary. The rest of the book was amazing and I will be listening again and again.

Profound and insightful

I was skeptical of the reviews which indicated the book had such a huge impact on readers' lives. But I submit - it had an absolutely profound impact on me too. A direct, no thrills take on co-dependency - highly recommended to anyone struggling with this condition.

It was hard to listened it trough - but not because it is a bad book, but because it touched a lot of nerves inside me and gave me a lot of understanding what I should do differently in my life.
