Story
The reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn’t a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. Many of us have misplaced that craving by overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. New York Times best-selling author of It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way, Uninvited, and The Best Yes, Lysa TerKeurst, invites you to find the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen.

Story
Thomas Merton, toward the end of his life, warned of a "pervasive form of contemporary violence" that is unique to our times: overwork and overactivity. In his work as a minister and caregiver, Wayne Muller observed the effects of this violence on our communities, our families, and our people. He responds to this escalating "war on our spirits" in this audio guide, and immerses listeners in the sacred tradition of the shabbat - the day of rest - a tradition that is all but forgotten in an age where consumption, speed, and productivity have become the most valued human commodities. He offers practices and exercises that reflect the sabbath as recognized in Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism. Through his way of nourishment and repose, Muller teaches, we welcome insights and blessings and arise only with stillness and time.

Story
Hearing God's voice is one of the greatest gifts we've been given, but it can also feel complex and frustrating. As a teenager, Havilah Cunnington didn't think she could hear God's voice, thinking it was like trying to tune into a radio station and never finding the correct frequency. But one night at a conference, she had an encounter with God that changed everything. She realized He had been speaking to her the whole time--she just hadn't learned to recognize His voice.

Publisher's Summary
How do we overcome what we are being overcome by—whether depression, anxiety, overeating, a negative view of ourselves, or any other stronghold—in order to experience the freedom that is available to us in Christ?
When the pressures of life become overwhelming, we often find ourselves turning to food, shopping, alcohol, television, or whatever our "counterfeit" might be in search of the relief, release, and peace we are longing for. These choices are not necessarily bad, but the satisfaction is merely temporary. Before we know it, we can find ourselves enslaved by addictive and destructive behaviors, but there is a way out.
With grace and warmth, author Robia Scott shows how true healing and lasting satisfaction can be found only as we learn to transfer our dependence from counterfeit comforts onto our one true Comforter: the Holy Spirit. Drawing from the experience of battling her own counterfeits—primarily her tumultuous relationship with food and obsession with dieting, weight, and body image—Robia leads you step by step through the process of transformation. It is through learning how to experience and connect with the Person, the presence, and the power of God that we discover who we truly are and acquire freedom to live the life of purpose that we were created for.

Powerful and Practical
I love everything about this book, and strongly recommend it to any believers who are struggling with unhealthy behavior patterns, bad habits or negative emotions and thoughts.
It contains practical step by step how-tos laid out in a way I haven't come across in a Christian book. We all know the much used Christian expressions 'give it all to Jesus' or 'focus on the cross' well Robia details EXACTLY how to do that. How to have intimacy with God and allow the Holy Spirit to be our comforter.
The most eye opening chapter for me is Chapter 9 'Do Not Believe Everything You Think.'
