About this listen
The apocalypse has arrived.
Now, it's down to control. Who will control the rich resources of a newly inducted world? Multiple systems, sects, guilds, and incursion parties are all aiming for that control.
But Silas believes there is more to control than just land and resources. He aims to win over the hearts and souls of the people while making Earth the strongest it can be.

Love the cheeky nods to HWFWM’s and Defiance.
This series has owned its place in the greats, Baldree kills it (except for the huh hum Australian accent) def take this one up even if it’s full of Murican sentiment and patriotism, which these days doesn’t mean much, but take a breath, you guys will be back in 3 years or so, depending on who you elect! And……….if you stop shooting people. We love you America, do we need to perform an intervention? 🥰🥰
Serious Baldree?

MC is the dumbest smart person

1) Attempting to tell the reader how to feel. eg; "the landscape was ruined, burned and broken, a childs doll lying discarded, invoking feelings of despair, a reminder of all the lives already lost". It actually cheapens the experience and breaks immersion detailing the scene then telling us how we should feel about it instead of just describing it and letting us draw our own conclusions. Even then, it probably wouldn't be too bad except that it happens constantly. Even mid-fight, interrupting the flow of what seems like it's supposed to be an action scene.
2) Inconsistency. Primarily in 2 things. The first, the MC's intelligence, or perhaps threat evaluation, or perhaps just ability to connect the dots. Sometimes he seems super clever, and other times it seems like the system itself must be blocking the pathways in his brain to stop him drawing obvious conclusions. The second, the power levels. Everything above the MC seems so strong and impossible to overcome without luck and potentiality and a truly ridiculous foundation... until the MC reaches that level, and then suddenly even enemies a tier below him are capable of tying up his abilities and being a lethal threat.
Just... at this point immersion is completely broken for me. Doesn't help that sometimes the stat sheets are incorrect or at least behind what's been written, undermining trust in the belief that the author is actually on top of what he's writing. I honestly don't understand how out of so many litrpgs that have detailed, interesting or unique features, that this series that is so mid has such high reviews.
