Publisher's Summary

Connections is a conversational English curriculum with an overview of the Bible. It is designed to be used in long-term classes lasting nine months or longer. The format is conversation-driven, and it is created to get students speaking from the first lesson.

This is a whole-language approach working from conversations to break down various sentences, phrases, and sounds studied in each lesson.

The lessons start with a theme picture to discover any preknowledge students have and set the tone of the lesson. Then the conversations are taught, with the vocabulary being taught in the context of the conversations. Next, we work on specific sounds and the rhythms of the English language in the pronunciation and rhythm segments. Finally, there is a section that discusses a Bible lesson. There are two parts to each lesson and many activities to give diversity to the English practice.
