Speedy compilation of instagram-style advices

I bought this book because of all praising in comments, and oh boy what a disappointment this was to listen to it. This seemed to be a quick compilation of Instagram-style advices and " popular " short articles on a subject (those called "7 ways to stop eating unhealthy" and full of "healthy grains" ads). When you want to binge, just go for a walk. Have a healthy grains for a breakfast. Try to deal with emotions other way than eating. Planning healthy life style is the same as succeeding in it! What a ridiculous jumping from one topic to another. This book was not that expensive, so I just consider it a complete waste of time.

Recommended.

I took in such a significant number of successful things from this book. I was really flabbergasted by perceiving what number of significant recommendations assembled in such a short book. Creator worked admirably. I'll without a doubt prescribe this book to my loved ones.

I think the 5 star reviews are FAKE

I feel cheated after wasting an Audible credit on this book because I believed the 5 star reviews. I think they must be fake reviews. It feels like the book was translated from Chinese (I'm guessing as there are Chinese references) but not very well, the grammar is pretty bad and sometimes there are words missing. Also the book is badly structured, the author jumps from one thing to another and doesn't really focus on binge eating, but rather goes on and on about healthy life choices in general. There are a few interesting notions here and there but mainly it's a generic book about how the body works and what lifestyle choices we should make. None of this is helped by a rather monotonous narrator. I'm rather disappointed.

Very poor narration

Was it an actual person narrating this book.?? The narration was very difficult to follow. The narrator did not seem to take into account the books punctuation. Sentences ran into each other. Pauses happened in mid sentence. Words were pronounced incorrectly. It did not flow and did not engage the listener at all.

In the end I gave up on this book which was a shame as the content was very interesting.

Not the normal Audible quality

Don't waste your money.

Poorly written and, more often than not, completely off the point.

Struggled on until the book started harping on about God, completely lost me there. Not helpful.

Useful one

I really appreciate the approach of this new book by Dr. Carolyn Ross. Even for those of us who are not binge eaters or obese, the issues she addresses on the origination of core beliefs and practicing gratitude on a daily basis were highly resonant with me. This book takes a comprehensive approach that gets deep inside the psyche and heals it well. It brings you back to your authentic self, which is at its very core, healthy, vibrant and loved. I recommend this book wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to understand themselves, their motivations and their relationships with food and the world.

Just the obvious insights about healthy eating. Nothing really different or special. It is worth reading for beginners in their journey to ending their binge eating.

Amazing book

I found this book to be enlightening. It's easy to judge people with eating disorders so it's good to know the science behind the overeating. I have more compassion for those who suffer from our if control eating, with this knowledge someone can take appropriate action to recover.

Excellent book

Highly recommend. For those of us who have been going through the motions. For those who are recovering and surviving all life throws (or has thrown) at us but never taking the time to look at our relationship with food as our comfort.

Good book

Good book with meaningful exercises that help you realize why eating is more about personal experiences than about actual food. Not a diet book that stresses deprivation, the author instead emphasises understanding how feelings about yourself formed your relationship with food and how you are already prepared to help yourself eat properly so food is both healthful and rewarding.

Very helpful

I am working through the workbook now. It is quite thought provoking and really makes me get in touch feelings and memories that I had long buried, but not dealt with. I is a real eye-opener.
