Summary

Engaged to marry her childhood sweetheart, Montana Brown’s world is torn apart when she is compromised by a man who cares little about a woman’s reputation.

Fleeing her hometown, she jumps on a train not knowing where it will take her. Montana then finds herself in an even more desperate situation. This time, she has little chance of escape.

Marshal Colt Harris is a confirmed bachelor. He’s not interested in women at all, and he certainly isn’t interested in Montana Brown, the woman he helped rescue. She is the most frustrating woman he has ever had the misfortune to meet. She is difficult, cantankerous, and won’t follow orders.

What is it about her that makes him tongue-tied and nervous, yet sets his heart aflutter?

Author's promise: This is a heartwarming historical novella with a happy ever after ending and no cliffhangers. It is a clean and wholesome story with nothing more than hugs, kisses, and holding hands.

This audiobook lacked the main elements initially set up in the plot. There was a total lack of character development. And about 2 hours from finish the story changed to what can only be assumed is the narration of another book of character “Dakota”. Not impressed at all.
