This black plague fantasy was an absolutely gripping read. The writing was vivid and atmospheric, pulling me straight into a dark and haunting world. The plot was full of unexpected twists and turns that kept me guessing all the way through, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the ending completely blew me away. The storyteller’s performance elevated the whole experience — their pacing, tone, and emotion gave real weight to the tension and mystery. It was both chilling and captivating from beginning to end.

A story that will stay with me forever!

I loved this book. The story didn't drag at any point. The pace was maintained throughout. The ending was unforgettable. The narrator was terrific.

It’s weird to me how some books on here have hundreds of reviews and then something so well preformed and written as this only has like, 5. I really enjoyed this book and the narrators performance. Would definitely recommend and have just downloaded another of Karen’s novels to enjoy for my next listen.
