Publisher's Summary

What is success? Why do some people have it and others don’t? Why is there a high concentration of wealth among the top 1 percent of society, while everyone else struggles to get by? What differentiates the entrepreneur from the average Joe working a steady nine-to-five job?

The secret of success is that there are no shortcuts to get there. Everyone who has made it has spent their fair share of blood, sweat, and tears just to get a taste. But that’s not the side people want to see. All they are concerned with are the expensive cars and the two-door garage. Success then becomes a myth to the common man, who idolizes and dreams about it, but who could never in his wildest dreams imagine that it would happen to him.

And yet, it can. There is nothing stopping you from becoming successful, except for maybe yourself.

No, you don’t need to invest in the latest big tech stock, or spend six years of your life pursuing an advance degree (though in certain respects that would certainly help). Instead, there is a simple to follow formula for becoming successful that you can learn through listening to this audiobook.

But don’t be fooled. Just because it is simple doesn’t mean that it is easy. If it were so easy, then everybody would be driving around in luxury cars. It requires hard work and dedication, and then even more hard work and dedication, which is not something that everyone is willing to put forth.

If you put all of the traits of successful people together what will you find that they have in common? It’s not intelligence, education, nor racial background. Neither does it have anything to do with gender or nationality. Successful people can be found all across the board. What you will found though, is a set of habits that they are share in common.

These habits are the key to success. That is, if you are willing to forge it out of your own toils and then unlock the success mindset once and for all.

  • A beginner’s handbook for creating the valuable habits that CEO’s and other successful people share in common
  • Understand why success is rare in our society, why it is valued, and why you should pursue it
  • Gain insights into the daily lives of successful people. How they plan they day, how they take care of their selves, and their business affairs
  • A breakdown of the most important habits for becoming successful and how to create them in your own life
  • Discovery a new definition of self-discipline and how it can help you overcome the daily challenges you must face
  • Procrastination is the common enemy of all success story. Learn how to defeat it and become the master of your self

Research-based plan to change habits!

This book is research-based and is immediately useful to help one change their habits. The author presents a step-by-step process to lasting (and fairly painless) change. I highly recommend this book. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

So glad I bought this...

I would just like to say "Atomic Habits" by Brian, simply put; a masterful guide that can be applied to any real life situation. Recently, I have begun to enjoy listening more, and this book was a great way for me to begin applying my gained knowledge. I would recommend it to anyone with a desire to learn new ways to challenge life's persisting dilemmas. Also, if you do decide to give it a listen, I would highly recommend annotating as you listen along.

Important if you want to understand

Has become one of my favorite books. I love that the author not only presents theory, cases and examples but it is also full of techniques. All with proper depth. Creating new and good habits is not easy. The same can be said about getting rid of bad habits. I have been applying some of the methods and advise and is already helping me.

Easy to follow advice

I gave five stars after listening this book because I put it down feeling like I'm better equipped to make some real changes to the habits of my life. I'll return in three months, and if what I've learned has helped, I'll leave the five stars, if not, I'll drop it to four. Great book regardless!

Awesome Book!!!!!

The book I gift to friends, families, and business colleagues. I was an early adapter to Brian James and his blog. Watching him grow as a writer and having him share in simple terms life changing tips and advise that was helpful has helped me over the years grow my business and myself. Thank you for “going the distance” and delivering a powerful book on habits.

I think it's changing my life.

In just a day or two I am implementing his ideas that lead to real behavior change, with more in the pipeline. If you think you've seen all the self-help books out there - you haven't. I highly recommend this book and Brian James’s refreshing approach to self improvement.

Something Great for Everyone!

What an incredible book! I've learned many things about habits, starting to recognize and understand my current "habit status", the why's that lead me to do what I do, sometimes without knowing it. Now, I'm putting the effort to stablish new habits, improve the stablished ones, according to the tips presented.

Best book ever on habits

I recommend this audiobook to all my friends and family. It would be easier if you just made a habit of cleaning your room every day, so you don’t need a burst of energy to clean your room and use your energy for something else in your life. I found that statistic very powerful.

Why this book is a must listen

I've been listening to Atomic Habits on audible on and off and I can say that this is the only "self-help" book I have ever read that actually made a material difference in my life. I've listen a number of other books on habits. Lots of other reviews give you the details so I won't repeat them here. Just buy this book and start making stuff happen. You'll be glad you did.

I highly recommend this book.

I have been trying to change my bedtime routine for years, I've even taken classes on what to do at night to help myself move in that direction. In a few steps I've discovered what I was doing wrong and how to make small alterations. The results are amazing! I'm actually relieved that it's time to go to bed instead of stressing over what still needs done. Thanks James! I love so many parts of this book. I even used it on my kids with their homework and chores. It all seems so simple as James puts it in a way that is easy to follow.

Life changing audiobook

There were plenty of times listening to the book that I wanted to stop and audio something down but was either driving or in the middle of a workout and did not have the resources and ability to do so. Not only did I pay to get the physical copy of this book, I have recommended it to several people in both my personal and professional worlds. For anyone like myself who values efficiency and self-improvement/awareness, this book is for you. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, just a clear, well thought out explanation for building habits properly.

A simple plan for making progress

Fabulous book! Great insight on how habits are formed, which, for me, is helpful in developing good new habits and axing the bad ones. Already listen it 3 times and am applying the author's methods to my life. I'm very hopeful that this time my new good habits will stick!
