I've read it twice myself, then thoroughly enjoyed listening to Helen read it to me. Her voice was perfect. The story is beautiful and the characters capture your heart.

I've read the book at least 4 times over the years and this is the second time I've listened to the audiobook. It's like putting on a warm blanket, the characters are so likeable and you really feel like you become a part of the family. love it!

Brilliant writing

This was my first Rosamund Pilcher novel and it certainly won’t be my last. I absolutely loved it! A wonderful coming of age novel. I loved following Judith’s life journey commencing before WW2, the beautiful Cornwall setting and all the memorable characters along the way.
I became truly immersed in the story and all the characters and was very sad when it ended.
The narrator was brilliant.

I nearly gave up after the first hour or two but the characters, Cornwall and the realities of WWII won me over in the end. All nicely predictable and satisfying.

I really enjoyed this "good feel" book. I really loved all the descriptions of scenery etc. Beautifully Narrated by Helen Johns, I would recommend this book. I will be looking into other books by this Author.

Love love loved it! What a beautiful and captivating story. I haven't looked yet but I do so hope there's a second follow up book. I couldn't put my phone down listening to this. The performance was terrific, the voices just perfect, the story incredible. Overall I highly recommend.
