The Museum of Curiosity is hosted by the Professor of Ignorance at the University of Buckingham, Professor John Lloyd C.B.E. (of Not the Nine O'Clock News, Spitting Image, Blackadder and QI fame), and the comedian Jimmy Carr.
The Museum invites three guests, a mixture of entertaining experts and expert entertainers, to donate one item each to the museum and explain why it deserves a place in the museum. Ever since someone gave the museum the Big Bang it's been expanding at an alarming rate, and now there's no looking back without the aid of a huge telescope.
I came across this series completely by accident and love it. This is one of the most refreshingly interesting and funny things I have heard in years.

One of my favourite radio programmes, this fills your head with wonder at the complex world we live in, and the mad and funny people who study it. But if they didn't, the world would be a greyer and flatter place. Who knew that the scientists, artists and others who work with this strange world are so engaging?
I recommend this highly.

I only wish that more series of this comedy talk show were available, as I enjoyed it so much. As with previous series, it's interesting and funny in equal measure, and every episode is a really fun way to spend 20 minutes - learn a little something and have a laugh.
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
What could BBC have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not what I expected. The info on items was brief and often uninteresting.
Would you be willing to try another one of John Lloyd and Jimmy Carr ’s performances?
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Museum of Curiosity: Complete Series 5?
I would have added more info on the items, some stories were interesting but either cut short or interrupted.
