About this listen
Some cases should never be reopened…
When a body is discovered during the building of the new Govan-Partick Bridge, it forces the reopening of a case that DCI Lomond would rather forget.
It felt like half a book, where is the rest of it?
Disappointed unfortunately

Half a book

As long as you're aware it's a short story then it's a good easy comfortable read. As always with this series there's no description of violence or abuse, and lack of police procedural investigation, esp from forensics. But it's still enjoyable and relaxing, rather like a Vera episode.
Andrew Raymond deserves far more recognition and appreciation than he gets. His books are much better than some of the well-known Tartan Noir authors.
I'm really hoping the next DCI Lomond instalment goes back to the original length and complexity of plot, and that he has it written soon!
[PS. I appreciate the way Raymond wrote about sex workers. Recently read a MacBride book where not even the supposedly good protagonist treated them like humans, let alone as equal/worthy. We don't need to hear them CONSTANTLY called whores, with detailed descriptions of how ugly they are etc. Raymond writes with the respect and compassion MacBride's was lacking.]
Good if read as just a Short Story
