Very informative

I feel that this book would be helpful to anybody who wants to change their behaviors in order to feel better. It reinforces the fact that even if you are not in charge of your circumstances, you are in charge of your behavior.. A positive outlook will help to create a positive outcome.

Totally neat!

This book helped me realize how seeing things in a positive rather than a negative way can really make an impact in your life. As the book mentions, this is not going to resolve all of your issues but it is definitely a great first step.

Great Introduction to CBT

the book contains a lot of information about intrusive thoughts, which myself and millions of other people deal with on a daily basis. The author makes it very clear that we shouldn't avoid situations that tend to trigger our intrusive thoughts because doing so will only serve to create even more anxiety surrounding the situation and make it worse.

A very simple

Almost anyone, and I mean anyone, will find this book beneficial. It encourages one to seek professional help in certain more serious circumstances. I could describe this as the flesh and bone behind any self-help program.

Excellent approach and information

it's an interesting no-nonsense approach that I'd never even heard of before. It's well worth checking out, especially if (like me), your former impression of psychotherapy is Freudian mumbo-jumbo.

This book is very good

Being a nurse, the scientific literature that supports CBT was/is very important to me.I'm really glad I picked up this bookOur brains are so efficient, that they can learn a new habit, and often times it can become like second nature to us if we practice it enough.

I recommend it to everybody

I even found some tips to improve my practice. Useful book to have on hand regardless.,it follows research and it’s easy to follow as a novice. With adequate supervision I think I will provide a good service for any client that walks in.
