Perfect

Would you consider the audio edition of Sense & Sensibility to be better than the print version?

I never believed I would say this, but they are equal. I would happily turn to either the next time I want to revisit this story.

What other book might you compare Sense & Sensibility to, and why?

Nothing can be compared to Jane Austen's works, and that is why they are still read. No one else could truly capture the social aspect of the time as well, and in such a way that still resonates with readers today.

What about Susannah Harker’s performance did you like?

Listening to Susannah Harker, it was as if Miss Austen herself was reading the story to me. Harker's soft and gentle voice, her timing, and even her accent, all lend to the illusion that it was Jane Austen who was telling this story to her family.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Oh, I'm afraid I'm not witty enough for that; besides, the title speaks for itself.

Any additional comments?

This audio book is a beautifully read classic, I would recommend to all Jane Austen fans.

Beautifully read..

Susannah Harker reads this classic with beautiful tone and intonation. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars all around is the inconsistent decibels in paragraphs and chapters.

Perfect in every way

Known story for me, perfect voice
& pace. So relaxing. Engaging work which shows both how much (& how
Little) has changed since 1811. Love that the renovations took longer than anticipated due to the workmen. 🌈🌈

Revisit again and again.

Love it every time! An exceptionally good delivery of an Austin favourite. Characters are sensitively and sensibly portrayed .

Thoroughly enjoyable

Susan Harker's superb narration made this an utter pleasure to listen to. As another reviewer wrote it makes one feel as if Jane Austen herself were reading the story.

Enjoyable but not her best

I love Jane Austen's novels. This one was enjoyable reading about the way of life, manners and customs of the era. I was well constructed and I am glad I listened to it but it was not in the same league as Pride and Prejudice.
