About this listen
Jean grew up as a refugee in many refugee camps in Africa. He is married and has three kids.
Jean has been working in refugee ministry for over 17 years in Dallas, Texas, USA.
This book came about when he was remembering his childhood in Africa. This story about Smart Chicken is based on a true story that happened in the place he grew up.
Jean Congera said, “I think this will be a good book for refugee kids and other kids to remember that even if people can bully them, they still have their true value because they were created in the image of God. Kids who bully others in school should stop doing that and start treating others with dignity because we were all created in the image of God, according to the Holy Bible."
