About this listen
The Final Confrontation
Caelan is done being a pawn of the gods.
He’s been herded and molded by the liars and manipulators.
He’s put the lives of his family in danger again and again.
And he is done.
It’s time to face the mad Goddess of the Hunt in the last place any of them want to go—the Ordas.
If they’re lucky, the special assistance he’s called in will arrive in time.
But no matter what, Caelan will protect his family…at any cost.
City of Blood is the sixth and final book of the Godstone Saga series and is not a stand-alone. The fantasy with a modern twist contains danger, secrets, broken gods, desperate kisses, dragons, possessive boyfriends, magic, lots of delicious angst, and one last round of a deadly game.

A satisfying ending.
I struggled to get through this book. I found the first half a real slog and a bit angsty. Though really that kinda makes sense for the story just not really engaging for me. I also wasn't on the edge of my seat excited in the last half but I was engaged enough to get to the end.
That all said the ending was very satisfying. It didn't feel rushed or forced, there was nothing left hanging, and there was no lingering on sentimental fluff.

A fine and satisfying end
Well this series have come to a fine end. The complexity of the problem presented at the end of book 5, setup a number of options for Caelan to navigate and this story allowed us to never quite know which way he would go until the last pages. I like the twist of the God who everyone thought they trusted, being exposed in the end and punished. Like all good epic fantasy novels, the final battle involved all of the peoples who had a stake in the outcome and a fine battle it was. Our MCs all were able to make it through with some now facing very complicated lives indeed (I am thinking of Adrian in particular).
Kale Williams was amazing throughout, giving a fantastic performance and bringing the myriad of characters alive. Bravo.
I wish there were more stories here. Maybe one day Jocelynn??
