Good book. The story and performance was amazing. The only thing that got me laughing was that terrible Aussie accent I had to replay it a few times.

A lot of originality even though based on the Cinderella story. I just have to say the narrator gave the worst impression of an Australian accent that I have ever heard! Thankfully it was only a couple of lines out of the whole book.

The plot is awesome and the characters are really well done. The voice actor is also great. The best audio book actors are the ones where you forget about their voice and just get absorbed in what they’re saying… no annoying features to this narrators voice at all.

10/10 recommend!

i loved every second of this book
every character had a back story, a purpose , nothing wasn't carefully thought through .
The narration encapsulated each of the characters personalities so perfectly , it was exactly how o would have imagined .

i liked the sci-fi fairy tale aspect of the story, but I think the plague plotline has aged like fine milk left out a little too long.

I mean, the virus new beijing is suffering from sounds similar to an actual virus that china actually made... I guess the author is a time traveler, eh? :P

still, ive always enjoyed the book everytime I revisit it.

Wow. Not what I was expecting. Brilliant spin on Cinderella story. Fantasy / Sci-Fi - Read so well. Narrator REALLY got into the characters. About to start book 2.

This is a reread for me, being in a reading slump I decided to read an old favourite. I thought it was just going to be the first book, but I have now started the second book. Looks like I'm reading the whole series again...
