Deliciously indulgent

Like a guilty pleasure, Jenny Colgan's books are best approached in the same way one should approach a big box of chocolates - scoffed in secret all in one go. So lovely to revisit Rosie et company, and the Christmas setting just makes it even more delicious. Snuggle up, get the fire crackling and break out the Christmas candles. Loved it.

Disappointing

I was hoping this second book would've been better than the first, as it's a sweet shop set in England at Christmas time. Should be wholesome & sweet, right? I found all the PC references a bit tiresome. Can't we just have a nice story without getting political? I found the fact that the vicar trying really hard not to mention God in the Christmas church service (so as to make it more 'inclusive') very disturbing & really sad. Is nothing sacred (literally)?

The narration was very good- apart from the attempts at an Australian accent, which I found very hard to bear (being Australian myself). I wouldn't listen to another Rosie Hopkins book.
