Story
During Jesus' earthly ministry, one of the primary ways he would instruct his disciples was through parables. People would gather from far and wide in order to listen to what Jesus said about the kingdom of God, and the most common way he would explain the kingdom was in parables. But what does God want us to learn from these parables? In this series, Dr. R.C. Sproul examines several parables of Jesus, exploring the rich truths they reveal about who Jesus is and what he came to achieve through his life, death, and resurrection.

Story
Everything the Bible has to say about the Gospel is simply an exposition of its central message: Jesus Christ lived and died to save sinners. The Gospel is about him, and it answers Jesus’ key question: “Who do you say that I am?” It is good news. In Good News: The Gospel of Jesus Christ, Dr. John MacArthur examines the Bible’s revelation of Christ and encourages Christians with the vast implications of all that Christ accomplished for them.
Publisher's Summary
In Chosen by God, Sproul shows that the doctrine of predestination doesn't create a whimsical or spiteful picture of God, but paints a portrait of a loving God who provides redemption for radically corrupt humans. We choose God because he has opened our eyes to see his beauty; we love him because he first loved us. There is mystery in God's ways, but not contradiction.
Dr. Sproul shows how election is entirely compatible with human freedom, dignity, and responsibility.

This regards the Audible Version
This does not appear to actually be a reading of the book. Rather it appears to be a series of lectures on the same topics. The book has 9 chapters, the audible version has 6. They do not conform to the text of the book.

This isn't the whole book.
I chose this Audible over the print version for a group study. I'm done with the Audible and the book has four more chapters. this Audible is just over half of the book.

This is a seminar
What disappointed you about Chosen by God?
Description says unabridged but it is not read according to the book. It is a seminar. I purchased for my son so he could keep up with the reading when he didn't have his book at hand. However it did not go along with the book and so it was not very helpful.

Excellent Breakdown of Doctrine of Election
I am a longtime Methodist and I have long looked at the doctrine of Election with a different set of glasses from Mr. Sproul. However, his presentation and documentation of the subject have given me reason to reevaluate my position!
I thought I had this all figured out. I guess I don't!!!

What would have made Chosen by God better?
This is NOT a audio book but rather a Compilation of the Christian Radio Sho that RC Sprout did for years....This should not be sold as a "audio book"

Chosen by God
As a Minister for 40yrs I have held the opposite view. However, this teaching and other teaching by RC has completely changed my viewpoint. In doing so I am rejoicing even more in my salvation. I'm still getting to grips but I recommend the book wholeheartedly.
Thanks so much JC.
