Publisher's Summary

Penguin presents a marvellous new recording of Roald Dahl's The Twits, read by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade. The audiobook features original music.

Mr Twit is a foul and smelly man with bits of cornflake and sardine in his beard. Mrs Twit is a horrible old hag with a glass eye. They've kept Muggle-Wump monkeys caged in the garden for far too long, and now the monkeys want to take their revenge....

"Sound levels were a bit off"

The sound levels were off which made it frustrating while listening to in the car - having to turn it up and down constantly.

My 7 year old who doesn't have the greatest attention span loved it nonetheless.

This book is amazingly narrated by Ayoade. I would gladly sit and giggle along with my 4yo niece to this wonderful tale. Highly recommended.

Fantastic narration for this classic Roald Dahl story. An easy five stars, from our eight year old listener.

    "Fun and Enjoyable Listen!"

I remember reading this in primary school, and since I was (and still am) a fan of Roald Dahl's work, I thought I would re-live some of my childhood.

Very funny and enjoyable story that lasts just under an hour which I listened to whilst out for an evening walk. Definitely recommended for children of primary school age, and those that want to re-live a bit of nostalgia. Also, entertaining narration from Richard Ayoade.

"Not the best narration but fabulous story still"

I love Roald Dahl's stories, having grown up listening to the tapes on car journeys, but the narration in this version is pretty poor, particularly the voice of Mr Twit!
The reading of the chapter titles isn't really necessary either and breaks the flow of a short story too much.
That being said I love this story so much and my much younger brothers still enjoyed this version so it's worth a download for a car journey with the kids.

    "Great"

After watching IT CROWD I was worried his voice wouldn't suit a audio book but boy was I wrong. He reads it in such a manner you can quite literally lay back, close your eyes an find yourself lost in this world.
