Very Good

Very good story
I love the different voices and how everything is pronounced
There's nothing I don't like about it 😎

Entertaining adventures

Really enjoyed this fourth book of adventures for the Heron brother and. It's a really good, light-hearted and entertaining story, most probably written for teenagers but thoroughly enjoyed by me where my teenage years are dim and distant. There's still a Peter Pan alive in all of us I guess and this series is keeping mine alive and engaged.

Great books - but I cannot stand the narrator...

John Keating... I wish I could say I have gotten used to his voice - and maybe I had to a point - until he voiced Gillan as IRISH!!! I cannot get my head around it!!!
I LOVE The Rangers Apprentice and I hace started to love this series - but I cannot stand how Keating says everything!!
He mispronounces character and location names and all the Scandian voices sound the same and now Gillan is apparently Irish!!!!
please please please get another voice actor for this series and the Royal Rangers series!!!

Great book

The narrator does a great job, people don’t seem to understand how hard it is to narrate a book. The plot is excellent, the characters are likeable and the language is elegant.

This reader is hard to bear

What I dislike about Jon Keating’s reading ... par tic u lar lee .. because he talks down to the listener. But that’s not all. He pauses in the wrong places in sentences .. he mispronounces many words .. at times he tends to become sing songey .. he seems to gallop at times .. and did I say his pronunciations leave a lot to be desired. It jars when he says ‘booie’ for the word “ buoy”(boy). I wonder how he would pronounce ‘buoyancy’? Come to think of it, I would not like to hear it!

Loved this audiobook!

This audiobook was a wonderful distraction from a busy day at work. I only wish they didn’t say Trebuchet so weirdly 😂

An amazing reading of an amazing book

The only thing I don’t like is that a lot of the pronunciations are different from the first 3 but otherwise perfect
