Ah, Sweet Memories.
I always wanted to revisit the stories I enjoyed in my youth, and this one holds up! It is so wholesome, too. The performance is good, but the volume varies a fair bit throughout between narration and characters exclaiming, so be careful with headphones.

A book to set up the rest.
This book is a setup for things to come so don't expect an extravagant story. A must read though. Whether you've chosen to read the books by publication order or read this first - its still a mandatory read to make sense of the Narnia series and how it came to be.
I found the performance enjoyable and actually prefer the different voices as it helps with confusion of whom is speaking.

Great story, beautifully narrated
I have never read The Chronicles of Narnia before and this audiobook was a great start. It's beautifully written, has great concepts, and the narrator has a great deep soothing voice. I'm really looking forward to starting the next book, and reading CS Lewis to my kids.

Magical as always
Kenneth Branagh brings this classic story to life. The Magicians Nephew sets up all “the comings and goings between Narnia and our world” and weaves into this tale deep themes of innocence and evil, consequences for choices and the compassion of the Creator for our grief. I first read the book when I was 10, and I think I love it even more now that I’m 47! Lewis is a master at writing fantasy that works just as well for children and adults alike.
