L'amore è il tema dominante, ma al sentimento per la propria donna si accompagna anche quello verso la madre, verso la sorella perduta e verso gli affetti in generale. Le immagini richiamate nelle poesie attingono alla natura, nelle sue molteplici declinazioni, e alla quotidianità, e sono sottolineate dalle musiche originali di Marco Forni che accompagnano l'intera raccolta.
