About this listen
Meredith and David Fiddler looked at Joshua as he slept peacefully in his hospital bed. His four-year-old body was sprawled at an odd angle to accommodate the apparatus that elevated his broken right leg.
"The doctor said it was a bad break," Meredith whispered. "They had to put pins in. I should have seen him trip. I should have been there to catch him. This is all my fault." A single tear rolled down Meredith's cheek. Her dark eyes were filled with pain and self-recrimination. "I shouldn't have let him play tag with the other kids," she moaned.
