Publisher's Summary

How do I reject thee? Let me count the ways....

Rejected and brokenhearted, Genesis Fairchild turns to her best friends and comes up with a plan to give Logan, the school's major player and future alpha, a taste of his own medicine.

One "Operation Payback" later, a silver-gray-eyed lycan joins the picture, and like a moth to a flame, Genesis feels the instant connection between her and the lycan, Constantine.

When she is introduced into the pack of lycan royalty, she not only deals with her changing identity, but also the arrogant future alpha's retracted rejection and determination to finally claim her, leaving her life a bit more interesting and a whole lot more complicated.

Will Genesis allow her one true mate to complete the mating bond? Or will she follow her heart and become the erasthai she has been long destined to be?

If you want something fun and light to devour in one sitting, then get lost in Genesis' world of arrogant werewolves, royal brats, and an irresistible lycan god.

This book is a hidden gem.

I haven’t been into the Werewolf genre for long, I was always turned off from it by The Twilight Saga. I honestly think I’ll be listening to this book over and over again because it’s so funny, even though this work is VERY cringe worthy in places, it’s like the teen-bopper love story I never knew I needed.

Could have been good.

Narrator spoiled this book for me. This book could have been better if it wasn’t so very very juvenile in spots.

Needs editing

Love this book but the audio needs editing. She coughs at one point, messes up and apologizes, and there are several instances where she repeats lines.

Fuzzy Bunnies

I liked this story and had a really good plot. I always love me some good jealous/posessive Alpha's. My only disappointment with the story is that the female character seems really immature and this was more of a YA story.
I would have given the performance 5 stars but this book needs to be edited. I loved the narrators voice and accents but there was a lot of coughing, pauses, repeated parts, and errors.

SOLID POTENTIAL

This book was cute with potential but the writing was a bit juvenile and the story needed a few tweaks. The constant saying of names within the same conversation was annoying, like we already know who you are talking to. There were small grammatical errors like the wrong tense of a verb. Other than some small story inconsistencies like "I don't know what he wants" and then immediately after, "he layed it all out there for me". The story was very cute overall.

great story

loved the story. it was cute funny and even a bit shocking at some parts. the author did great with this story.

I did have a hard time with the voice editing. Several times the voice actor would clear her throat or cough or she would reread the same sentence twice. This all could have easily been edited out and was a big distraction for me.

narration needs work

This is one of my favorite rejected mate stories. The woman narrating does a great job in the sense that she sounds like an 18 year old girl. Unfortunately, there are lots of mistakes during the narration. There are repeated sentences as if trying to get them right, there are pauses were there should not be pauses and there are times when the narrator makes a mistake says excuse me or some other thing that causes you to realize that a screw up has occurred. It was nice to hear a narration with a voice that sounds like it was appropriate for the main character. Unfortunately it was not done very professionally. It sounded like someone was reading this in a closet or some other place in someone's home because you could hear background noises at some points. Even with all of this, I know I'll listen to this over and over again.

Editing issues, but still enjoyable

This needs some editing. It sounds like the wrong file might have been uploaded. There were a lot of repeated lines and coughs. BUT I think the narrator was really good. I hate it when they pick a voice that sounds too old for the character they are portraying. And this girl sounded like she was still in high school.

The story was long but it never felt like it was dragging. Genesis was rejected by her true mate. But what she didn’t know, is that someone else more powerful has known she was his and he was biding his time, waiting for her.

What I don’t understand is why he wasn’t there for her when she was rejected by her mate. He was obviously watching her, why, when she fell to the ground in pain wasn’t he there to pick her up? He was too absent in the very beginning I think.

There was a bit of angst, but I loved that Genesis held her ground. When she was unhappy about something with Constantine she made him work to get her back, even if some of it was a misunderstanding. I hate it when an author writes something that hurts the heroine and then she stews over the reason and sometimes things the Hero does reinforces why she is upset to begin with, but the heroine never tells the Hero exactly what it was that upset her. I hate to at. I hate things left unsaid. I hate when it’s not made absolutely clear what hurt or pushed the heroine away. But in this book it was all fleshed out. Everything came to light. And I was SO happy about that.

I really enjoyed this. I usually end up feeling bad for the mate that did the rejecting in these stories. When they inevitably realize how badly they messed up. But I didn’t think the mate in this book really showed genuine remorse or feelings for Genesis until the very end.

It was good. I enjoyed listening to this a lot.

loved the story

My only issue was that I could hear the coughs and breathe of the narrator at certain points. I didn't like the narrator at first but she grew on me. Waiting patiently for Fighting Darius and Caspians story to make it here as well.

I was sucked into the world from the first chapter

This was my first time ever reading/ listening to anything by this author, and now I'm kicking myself that I haven't found her sooner.
I was immediately drawn into Genesis' world. I love her spunky, unique, and fierce personality. She was in every way a perfect match for Costa. Their chemistry was hoooot.
I won't restate the summary because you've probably already read it if you're looking at reviews. So what you need to know is this audio book has action, suspense, and so much heat. The characters are incredibly developed and so lovable. The story flows so smoothly, and there's not one part where I got bored or thought the book was slow. The complete opposite actually. I devoured this entire audio in 2 days, and am so sad to see it end.

There were a few flaws with the narrator. A cough, throat clearing, or repeated line. Nothing so distracting to pull you away from the story. Besides those small flaws, the narrator did a fantastic job voicing the different characters and putting emotions into them.

Fun

This is a fun coming of age romance, has action, suspense, intrigue, with a quirky wolf shifter heroine her somewhat disappointing or better yet fickle mate and the step in take charge lycan who steals her affection.
Kamala Alcantara the narrator has a pleasant youthful voice that fits this story.
