This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Hmmm...maybe this story is for someone who loves the whole damsel in distress read.
What other book might you compare Catch Me if You Can to and why?
Most books in this genre is like this story.
1. Incredibly perfect damsel in distress, desperately needs to be rescued but acts as if she doesn't.
2. Tortured heroin comes to the rescue. In love with damsel within hours, vice versa.
3. The performace was just a bit off because of the weird voice change when it was guys who were speaking. Not bad but off somehow.
4. Very predictable and the women were useless! Not even a decent fight scene. - pouts-
5. Sugar!! I was so sick of hearing that! LOL
This isn't a bad story. It's actually incredibly entertaining. It's just very generic. Especially as Ms. Hart raised the bar to new awesome limits in this genre with Addison Holmes and J.J. Graves.

Oh man! SPOILER ALERT
1. Female heroine would need to actually be able to kick butt herself.
- it was so pathetic she was restrained to her bed and had to be rescued.
- and why not just slit her throat? (sorry if that sounds cold) but the job would have
been done quickly n silently. She could have survived that too.
* it would have been so much better had she come from work or shopping late
and attacked in her apt / she puts up a serious fight. One so bad, the attacker
is injured and has to knock her out in desperation, cuff her, then set fire.
2. So bummed she didn't get to her best friends in time to save them. Why does
everyone except key characters have to die?? Her sadness over there death, mute.
3. Sugar needed not be used at all unless in coffee or cheerios. Grrrr.... I hate that
Super Alpha male attitude. LOL
4. I was hoping Female FBI Agent was actually working undercover somehow but she
was just.... Eh.. like the female heroine.
5. In this genre, MOSTLY the beautiful women are the ones who are rescued and having
the male heroine ready to die for them.
Regular chics want to be rescued by the handsome guys too. LOL
Any additional comments?
Like I said before, the story is entertaining but it was very predictable and Ms. Hart has ruined me for life with Addison Holmes (I cry n laugh so hard when it comes to that series) and J.J. Graves (I fell in love with FM romance again because of that serirs).

Three stars is a generous rating - 2 1/2 is more accurate.
Catch Me is a formulaic girl-needs-rescuing-from-super-hunk-with-tortured-past story that is not particularly well or poorly written. The daughter of a dead mob boss goes on the run from her mob uncle with an ex-soldier, ex-FBI hunk. The two, of course, 'cannot' have a relationship but nonetheless fall into bed and fall into love within a day or two of meeting.
It has one twist at the end, but is otherwise entirely predictable. I wasn't invested in the characters so it didn't have much punch. The characters had pasts, but no depth. No interests or personality quirks - or personalities for that matter. I couldn't come to care about these two flat characters, in a predicable story, based on an overly used premise.
Overall, it's better than nothing, but keep looking if you have time.

tired story, bad dialogue
This is an ho hum listen if you get it on $5 sale from an author who has written other more solid works. There is some suspense with the save-the-girl-who-is-target-from-the-mob-theme and of course the wounded warrior looking for redemption. But the dialogue and movement of the relationship is choppy, unsophisticated, and at times hackneyed. I began to suspect that this might have been the first published work from this author.
The female lead is written to be somewhat disappointing, in her illogic with blaming him with morning-after regret in a petty (albeit short)conversation. After being on the run for less than two days, they somehow have both internally "realized" they are in love with the other. I realize in such a short novel that things have to move quickly, but it was jarring to me and I had to force myself to stick with it and not move to my next book in the queue. I stuck it out till four and half hours into it when the dialogue was something out of a 1970s Harlequin.
The reader was on dragging slow-mo for the first hour or so, and I had a hard time not focusing on his delivery and listening to the words and following the flow of the story. While it got better mid-way thru, it did not add to enjoyment but more of a distraction.
Don't waste a credit on it. Risk $5 if you are hard pressed, but only if you like very abbreviated sex (kiss to morning after in two sentances).

Running till the end
Different in some ways to Ms Hart's writing in that it is far less steamy and yet, the suspense and danger which is always laced through her work is telltale.
Two strong and damaged characters who both need saving but refuse to admit that they need help, make for an interesting read.
It is filled with drama and suspense till the end.
