Publisher's Summary

To her younger sister, Tessa, Caroline O'Shaughnessy has everything - great looks, easy charm, and the distinctly desirable Damien Woods.

But for Caroline, things don't feel quite so rosy. She'd dreamed about moving in with Damien but not about having his child just yet. And though he did the honourable thing when she told him she was pregnant, it obviously wasn't what he wanted either.

And as both of them struggle to make the best of a bad job, neither is prepared for the impact a moment of drunken indiscretion will have not just on their lives but on Tessa's, too....

Two young women finding their way.

enjoyed the narration at 1.25 speed. Real sort of people living in the real world. I hope being young and female in the financial industry is not always like that.

Yes

I absolutely loved Caroline's Sister had trouble putting it down. Sheila O'Flanagan usually writes fabulous books there have been a couple I have not been able to get into over the years but most are great. Loved the ending not what I expected but excellent story.

Could easily be entitled 'The Trouble With Men'!

Any additional comments?

This is a lovely read/listen. It could be described as chiclit, but not of the sweet, cliched variety. O'Flanagan's female characters are never weak girly girls, and there is not a cupcake or beach hut in sight! All of the characters here are well developed. I read a lot of crime fiction and this is a great palate cleanser for that. If I have a small criticism, it is that it's a little too long for the nature of story, but that is a minor issue and shouldn't put anyone off. Caroline Lennon's narration was faultless and wonderful as always.

Not my favourite from this author

A good enough book, love this author normally. A tad slow in the middle to end...

Enjoyable

Written through the eyes of both sisters. Really just a story of their every day lives but I enjoyed it. An easy listen with a great narrator.

Excellent , Outstanding

I absolutely loved loved loved this book.

This has to be one of the best books I’ve ever listened to.
I listen to audiobooks when working and when walking the dog, I’m not a fan of short ones, so I loved the fact that this one was so long. The details in the characters was excellent , it was very realistic and I really enjoyed it. I will be downloading meow books from the author and the narrator did a fantastic job. Absolutely recommend this book, I’m just sad that it’s over!

Good all rounder

Interesting characters and well narrated. Bit slow to start but once you get into it, it was hard to stop listening.

Lovely story but narration a little off at times

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, a lovely easy story to listen to while working or walking. Only one small annoyance with the narrator. I have had this issue with other narrators too. Some of the characters are in their 40/50s but you'd swear by the shaky voice used that they are in their 90s! They are always portrayed as dothery, dithering old fogeys, seriously 40 or 50 is not that old!!

Boring!

I’m on chapter 12… bored out of my mind. Keep waiting for something to happen…. It hasn’t. I don’t understand how people ‘loved’ this book.I feel bad for being so rude about someone’s work but it really is beyond boring. I have 12 hours to go, not sure I’ll make it.

Dragged on and went nowhere

I am so glad I didn’t pay for this book because despite trying for about 10 chapters I couldn’t get into it. There was no real plot just a story about a woman who gets pregnant repeatedly by accident. It was mundane, the characters were just uninteresting and tedious. The narrator was very good, but even their performance couldn’t brighten this dreary book.
